Wilmer Kearns marched in the men’s division, and his wife Edna and his daughter Serena in the Quaker division of the 1913 suffrage march or “procession” the day before the inauguration of Woodrow Wilson, the US president elect.
“An Unfinished Revolution: Edna Buckman Kearns and the Struggle for Women’s Rights” follows the perspective of Wilmer Kearns in the memoir and family history published by his granddaughter Marguerite Kearns in 2021, a book from SUNY Press (State University of New York).
